Challenge of the Night

Can you find as many holes in this video as I did? Watch it and pick out the obvious attempts to mislead people.. then see my message below for the issues I found.

Dear Friend,

Four minutes — that’s all you need to learn just what you get from health insurance reform. Take the few minutes and watch now:

The details the President outlines in this video are those that every American needs to know. No matter your political party or whether or not you have insurance, his plan for health care security and stability matters to all of us.

Millions of American citizens cannot get health insurance — and 14,000 are losing their insurance every day. If we do nothing, half of Americans under the age of 65 will lose their health insurance at some point in the next ten years.

That’s not right. Plain and simple. For Americans with insurance as well as those without it, inaction is not an option. In America, no one should go broke because they get sick.

Bottom line — health insurance reform will provide more security and stability to those who have health insurance, coverage for those who don’t, and will lower the cost of health care for our families, our businesses, and our government.

As the President says, now is the time to deliver the change we need on health care. Forward this email and make sure your family, friends and social networks take four minutes and watch this video.

Thank you,
David

Ok. Here are the issues and points that I found:

"If you like your insurance, you can keep it" - Disingenuous. Your employer may drop your plan and push you onto a cheaper, low-service public option in order to save money.
"No more denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions" - Financial Nightmare. Why should an insurance company have to extend coverage for a house that's burned to the ground and then rebuild that house? This makes no sense.
"No dropped coverage when you get sick" - This is the only bullet point on slide one that makes any sense to me.
The second slide - Forced decisions. What if I want to pay a lower price and take my chances with these caps? or what if I'm young and don't wish to pay for the preventative care option?
Third slide - lynchpin of this slide is the public option; see first point. You won't be keeping your insurance.
"Won't add a dime to deficit and paid for upfront" - Disingenuous. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office confirms that the plan will add to the deficit.
"Independent medical experts to identify waste, fraud and abuse" - Smoke screen. Insurance companies already have people who investigate fraud and abuse. If all this money was “ripe for the picking”, private industry could have and would have claimed it far faster than our bloated, lazy D.C. bureaucrats could.
"Required coverage for preventative care" - Force my hand. Again, what if I don't want this type of coverage? Why should I pay for it?
"Eliminates the prescription drug 'Donut Hole'" - Force my hand. Again, what if I don't want to pay for or have this type of coverage?
"Immediate medical malpractice reform projects" - Smoke screen. Projects aren't reform. Any reform will be killed by the lawyers who continue to pay into the campaigns of politicians from sides of the aisle.
"The time for bickering has ended" - this is correct. This plan needs to go away. That'll stop the bickering.
