In my somewhat prejuidiced view (prejuidiced in that I am very pro-America) The Declaration of Independence is one of the most well thought out and logical pieces of writing the world has been given. It clearly articulates what the founding fathers were thinking when they put the wheels in motion to establish American independence. As we look at the current politilcal landscape it makes me wonder if we are at a similar juncture. Consider the following:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government..."

Is the government working for us anymore? I think not. I am not advocating armed rebellion. We just need to take steps to vote them ALL out. Get involved, be vocal. Let them know who they are working for and it is not just SEIU or the UAW.
