Health Care

Postby MeanDude » Wed Jul 22, 2009 12:42 am

I've been fairly silent about this because I thought the chances of anything happening were slim. Granted, I was a bit worried for awhile, but I think I had the right approach in the first place. Sentiment has turned against this stupidity - why? Because what we have now works.

Anyway, here's a "hacked up" video of the Secretary of Health and Human Services trying to talk up the plan. I'm not so sure about how "real" this actually is, but if it is, I want to get the entire town hall meeting - or at least more of it! There's something to be said for CONTEXT. Anwyay, here's what I've found of it:

I think by now, everyone knows HR3200 (yes, that's the America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009) is a farce... a political power-grab, and a waste of our money. Of course, your elected representatives continue to push this garbage forward. This came VIA E-mail from my good friend Nolan. This E-mail outlines EVERYONE that you can call. No action? No right to complain about the trash you get stuck with in the name of "heath care reform".

Washington's effort to overhaul the nation's health care system has generated an intense debate among lawmakers, policy makers and health care providers. If you want to express your opinion too, here is a list of key players involved and how to contact them.

Ok. I'm wondering what's really going on here. I mean, they have our attention - and we're looking at a bill that one would think (based on all of the oppisition from everyone) would be dead by now.. .why isn't it? Are we being distracted? What's "the other hand doing"?

Any ideas?

I emailed them and told them to vote no on RH 3200 or I would vote no when they run for reelection.

Pretty clear I think.

After a week and change "on the run", I'm back.

Robert: Kewl. Check out my next post for the "reality check" I received from David Axlerod - yes, it's a load of garbage.
