Here's the letter I fired of to Representative Howard Coble (R-NC). As I think he is a man of principle, I've done this more for encouragement.
Dear Representative Coble,
First, let me thank you for the outstanding job you’ve done thus far. I know it has been a challenging year for you and your colleagues. Please do not tire out as there is more to be done. Trust me – your job will be MUCH easier after the 2010 elections!
That aside, I’ve written to express my concerns over H.R. 3200. I have the feeling you and I think alike on this issue; however I don’t like to leave any stone unturned. That’s why I grabbed the computer and dropped you a line.
For the record, I stand with better than 70% of the Americans who have responded to a recent “Facebook” poll when I say I OPPOSE and STAND FIRMLY AGAINST changing our healthcare system in the ways outlined in H.R. 3200.
With the exception of torte reform, I DO NOT want to see any changes made to the healthcare system at this time. Please do everything within your power to assure that the good people of North Carolina, and of the United States of America, do NOT see a government-run healthcare system, or any of the “reforms” proposed in H.R. 3200.
No reply is required. Thank you for your service!
Sincerely,
Don Wright
